The medium size is appropriate for a 7-year-old. The quality is not good considering the price.

I am very happy with the shirt! I previously owned the black version, and because I liked it so much, I also purchased it in green! Many people have asked to take a picture of me while I was wearing it! My only suggestion would be to have the words in white instead of black, but that is just a personal choice.
