While the texture is somewhat coarse, similar to the applicator from a Fuzzo can, it doesn't damage the surface being cleaned. They are easily cleaned after using wax, particularly with microfiber cloths. I also utilize them for interior detailing and leather care. It would be helpful if they were offered in various colors to distinguish which one holds which product.
