The fabric feels light and cool. The threads appear to have been burned with no residue and have a plant-like odor. I suspect it's a mix of viscose, cotton, or linen, probably viscose. After washing, the garment doesn't shrink significantly, contrary to what I read in the reviews. For a 2-year-old child, approximately 86-92cm tall, I selected a 100cm size, and it reached the full length after washing.
