It doesn't pull tightly, I'd say it smooths, but I wanted this because I was concerned about it cutting in if I weighed more and gained extra kilograms. It is very convenient and comfortable; I don't feel it. Honestly, my waist didn't change much, but I'm still satisfied. Therefore, I recommend it.
