It functions flawlessly. I purchased it with the sensor, and it's excellent, meaning it's not constantly running. My cats needed a bit of adjustment initially, but now they drink from it happily. The only issue is the sensor base doesn't stay attached properly, and it detaches easily, making it impossible to keep upright, so it's situated beside the fountain.
