The material is thick, featuring a fleece lining inside, making it appropriate for winter wear. The construction appears well-made, with no loose threads. Because of the loose fit, you might consider ordering a size down from your usual size (this is just my personal observation).

Beautiful sweater, but a disaster after washing, even on a gentle wool cycle. It lost all its vibrancy and the flowers pilled. It looks like I've had it for several years, even though my daughter hasn't even worn it yet.
